30 Days of Prayer Day 2: He is our hope and our song: Zephaniah 3:14-17

Day 2

Sing, Daughter Zion; shout aloud, Israel! Be glad and rejoice with all your heart, Daughter Jerusalem! The Lord has taken away your punishment, he has turned back your enemy.
The Lord, the King of Israel, is with you; never again will you fear any harm. On that day they will say to Jerusalem, “Do not fear, Zion; do not let your hands hang limp. The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”

Zephaniah 3:14-17

Continuing from yesterday, take time today to thank God for who He is. That not only is He the all powerful Creator, but also, he is a loving Father who is close to us; so close that in His love he sings songs over us. The God of all creation knows you, loves you, and cares for you; personally. Rejoice in this truth. Be overwhelmed by the loving care of your Heavenly Father. Draw near to Him with boldness and drink in the grace and mercy He gives in Christ.

Confess your struggle to see Him as your loving Father. Tell Him all the messy things that you have been withholding… He knows them anyway, and His love is the same! Accept His grace, mercy, and Love because of Jesus and thank Him.

Ask His Spirit to help you to display His love and care to the people you will encounter this week.
