13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Think about your life today. God has designed you uniquely, gifted you specifically, given you passions and purposes that are yours alone, and placed you in a very specific sphere of influence.
Only you can be “you” at your workplace, only you can be “you” with your family, your neighbors, in your city. You are the only “you” there is and God has a purpose in every moment and every space you occupy.
Take some time today to thank Him for making you as you are, even the parts that you don’t like. Ask Him to give you His eyes to see how you can influence and impact your world for His Kingdom. Where He can use “you” to display Himself. Pray for the boldness to live your love for Jesus out loud and to see many come to Him through ordinary, but extraordinary “you.”
