30 Days of Prayer Day 9: Driven by Love: 2 Corinthians 5:14-20

Day 9

For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. 15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.
16 So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.

2 Corinthians 5:14-20

What would motivate you to share your faith in Jesus with someone? Do you feel guilty if you don't? Guilt may be an effective motivator at times, but it is not the primary way The Lord motivates us. We are compelled by His love! The love we have experienced. Despite our sin and failure God, loved, pursued, and saved us. That should compel us to share His story with others.
Take some time today to ask the Lord to stir up your love for those who don’t yet know Him. Thank Him that He has made you new, that you are clean before Him and free to focus your heart on loving Him and sharing Him with the world around you. Ask The Lord to set up clear opportunities for you to share The Gospel with people you encounter. Pray for boldness to tell His story clearly and pray that The Spirit would draw people into a relationship with Him. Confess your fear and doubts. Ask Him to be strong in your weakness. Pray that as a church we would be pure salt to our community and a bright light of His goodness and grace.
