4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
As we complete week 1 of our 30 days of prayer and fasting take some time to reflect back on this week. How has the Lord met you in this time? Have you experienced His presence in fresh ways? Have you seen Him move in you and through you? What are some of the ways you’ve seen Him answer your prayer so far?
Don’t hurry through… pause and reflect. Then thank Him! Celebrate the answered prayers and the unanswered prayers. With fresh eyes and a fresh heart pray again for the people and things that still linger. Remind yourself that faith and His presence dwells in the waiting.
Ask Him for patience to trust Him and remain faithful. Think about His character, His heart, His care for you, and thank Him.
Ask His Spirit to help you to remain faithful to this 30 day challenge. To pray not just in these set times but throughout your day, without ceasing.
